Paradip Cyclone, Orissa 1999
A massive cyclone affected areas of Paradip, Orissa in the year 1999 and hundreds lost their lives while thousands were rendered homeless without food and shelter including women and children. Shri Abhey Oswal Ji took up the challenge and formed the Aruna Abhey Oswal Trust and helped in the rehabilitation of the people who suffered cyclone. He planned & executed the project of schools and orphanage at Paradip Orissa for the upliftment of the children. She moved herself to the flood affected areas of Paradip, Orissa in the year 1999 and served all the immediate needs of the people. She further took up the challenge of rehabilitation activities – planned & executed the project of schools and orphanage at Paradip Orissa.
AAOT has donated Mobile Medical Vans
In 2015, Aruna Abhey Oswal Trust started its flagship Project of Mobile Medical Vans for delivering primary health services for rural population in India. The Trust continues its endeavor of serving basic healthcare at door steps of poor & needy and has scaled up the project in the neighboring countries Nepal, Bangladesh & Seychelles.
Mata Mohandai Oswal Senior Secondary School, Ludhiana
- Started by Shri Abhey Oswal for the betterment of the underprivileged children.
- This section of the school embraces the play-way method to nurture young minds and to foster holistic development in young learners. Children are encouraged to explore their surroundings, sparking curiosity and love for learning.
- The curriculum is designed to encourage a spirit of exploration, with particular emphasis on foundational language proficiency, conceptual clarity, and an engaging introduction to the world around them. Through an environment that prioritizes joy and curiosity, children are guided to learn with encouragement and enthusiasm ensuring they embrace their education with confidence and joy, rather than approaching it with fear or reluctance.
Mega Project for widows of the World
Aruna Abhey Oswal Trust in association with The Loomba Foundation has joined hands in Mega project for Widows of the World whereby 5000 women have been provided with Sewing Machines in Varanasi & inmates of prisons in Gurgaon & Faridabad. These women are earning their livelihoods through tailoring with help of these sewing machines.
Project of Child in Power
As the Chairperson of Indian Council for Human Relations, Mrs Aruna Abey Oswal through the Trust has taken the Project of CHILD IN POWER under its stride where by following outreach projects have been implemented;
- Constructed a big hall for destitute girls at Katyayni nari Ashram at New Delhi
- Ongoing distribution of woollens- sweaters, Blankets, School bags, Food boxes, water tanks, water coolers, musical instruments to slum & special children.
Bimal Vidya Vocational Training Centre for Women
Set up in 2015, The vocational training centre imparts skill development like sewing, tailoring, beautician, fashion Designing & Computer basic knowledge for women. The Trust assists them in financial empowerment through employment generation. So far more than 250 women have benefitted from the training programme.
Project Dialysis
A Haemodialysis Machine was donated to NM Group Lions Hospital & research Centre in Bhuj, Kutch Gujarat for patient Dialysis. A Patient going through Dialysis on Haemodialysis Machine donated by Aruna Abhey Oswal Trust
Mammography Centre
A Mammography Centre was opened by Aruna Abhey Oswal Trust in MP Shah Hospital Nairobi, Kenya in 2015
Oswal Eye Hospitals
The Trust has partnered for Mega Project with Lions Clubs International for Four State-of-the-art Eye Hospitals which are under construction in respective Locations of Siliguri, Bangalore, Mumbai & Punjab.
